I am so excited to be writing here once more. Quarantine shmuarantine. Let’s get creative.
A couple of things I’ve been doing lately:

Knitting
Stay tuned for this. I’m going to be adding a page to talk about my recent yarn-related projects. We’ll just say: I have been buying a LOT of yarn.
Building
My partner bought a house a while ago, and he and I have been gutting it out and flipping it, essentially. Right now, we are lowering the basement floor, which involves digging out three-foot sections and filling them with concrete one at a time.
Growing
I have my own little baby banana pepper plant. I’m planning a larger garden next year, but I wanted to see if I could keep this plant alive first. We’re getting ready to harvest peppers!
Supporting
My brother’s girlfriend, Mellannada, is making and doing things on YouTube. Right now, she is working on playing video games with friends and putting recaps on her page. I played Among Us with her the other night! It was hilarious and fun. The game is like a space-adventure version of the game Mafia, where there are imposters and you have to figure out which player is the nefarious invader!
Reading
FINALLY. Back to doing the thing I loved for so long and then got super burned out on. Right now, I’m reading The Name of the Wind and Midnight Riot.
Working
As it turns out, when an entire university goes remote due to a global pandemic, the IT department is pretty important. The communications and marketing function, in fact, turns out to be equally important if not more so. I’ve been working from home and loving it. I get to write and learn about all kinds of technologies and concepts — from the comfort of my own living room or home office (depending on how I’m feeling that day — because laptops!).
Living, breathing, being
Expect more updates here as I get back into the swing of life and love.
Listen, the years are short. They are nothing.
