In which Liz reads submissions

Hello Readers!

For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you may have seen me post the other day about a new project I’m undertaking with Post Mortem Press.

That pretty much says it all. SHE’S LOST CONTROL is a new anthology forthcoming from PMP written by women and edited by… ME!

Here’s a little snippet from our submission guidelines

“I walked up on the edge of no escape and laughed, I’ve lost control.” – Joy Division, ‘She’s Lost Control’

Are we ever really in control?

This is what our first all-female anthology, SHE’S LOST CONTROL, will try to answer. We want your thrills, your kills, the dark thoughts going through your head at the brink. Will you step back from the edge? Will you jump?

If you identify as a woman, submit your short stories (up to 10,000 words) or poems about losing control. If you DON’T identify as a woman, GTFO. New and emerging authors are encouraged to submit.

What’s even cooler about this is that a portion of the proceeds for this anthology will go to local and national charities that provide mental health services to women who may not have the financial resources required to get help. I am truly honored to be part of this project.

I can’t wait to get started reading the stories and poems people are sending us. We recently cracked 50 submissions — I think I’ll probably dive in this weekend so I can get ahead of the reading before the March 31 deadline.

If this sounds like something you want to get in on, SUBMIT NOW!
