Well, the third day of NaNoWriMo has come and gone, and I’m still chugging along! I made it to 5,000 words yesterday, which is about right on track if I wanted to get the full 50k this month.
Speaking of which . . . I wrote 2,000 words Sunday and Monday. My original goal was 1,000 per day. But for some reason, I’m just cruising! This is fun so far. I can sort of feel my competitive nature kicking in — meaning I might, in fact, amend my goals and try to Do The Thing. But I think I will play it by ear for now and see where this story takes me.
I’m in the middle of chapter 2. Audy hasn’t left for her journey yet, but she’s getting ready to do so. But she’s torn because she doesn’t want to leave her mother alone to care for her sick brother by herself . . . It’s rather exciting. The cogs are turning for what I am going to write today . . .
