Great news from Chicago-land!

Chicago in winter - taken March 2015

Hello faithful readers and fellow writers! Today is a great day. I just got offered a job as a Content Writer at a marketing company in Chicago! Woo. Now I can do a thing for a living that I went to school for. This is an English major’s dream come true. I start on Monday! I can’t wait to get into the nitty gritty of writing and living and being in downtown Chicago five days a week.

One thing I was a little worried about when I was thinking about applying for this position was if I would get burnt out writing for work and wouldn’t be able to produce my own personal work when I got home. And then I remembered — I do my best work when I’m pressed for time and stressed out. For some reason I’ve always been able to write under pressure — I do my best when I’m busy. This is going to be fun, and perfect for my writing.

Thanks, everyone, for your continued support.

I get to live here, you guys.

I'm a writer living and working in Cincinnati, OH. I've been writing for ages and ages. Somehow now I'm actually getting someone to pay me to do it.

    1. Thank you!! I love winter, so it’s kind of the perfect place. I think spring is finally on its way, though. I went for a walk to the grocery store today and it was perfect outside.

      1. I’m sure by perfect you mean sixty degrees. Now that I’ve been away from that kind of weather for over a decade, sixty feels like the arctic lol.

      2. Ha! It was closer to 50 degrees, but with a jacket was just fine. :) Sixty sounds like an inferno to me lol
