I braved the holiday season, I ate a million cookies, and I drank three-fourths of a giant bottle of Yellowtail Moscato on New Year’s.
But I’m back!
Lots of stuff on my plate for the new year. I don’t have “resolutions,” per se, but I have plenty of goals. “Resolution” is just a fancy buzzword synonymous with “working out” or “eating better.” Instead of making resolutions, I make goals that build on or are the same as my current ones for my day-to-day life. Here are a few:
1.) Get closer to publishing my book — that means querying agents, making connections with publishers, continuing revisions.
2.) Move to Chicago! Hopefully I will have more news on this sooner rather than later, maybe by the end of this month.
3.) Grow NEAT. and get closer to visualizing my goal of just doing that for the rest of my life.
4.) Read! Readreadread. After taking my three-month break from reading (after thesis-ing for far too long, and reading 50 novels over the course of far too short of a time period), I’m ready to get back into it. I’m currently devouring Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five (which, for god’s sake, why did I take this long to get into Vonnegut??? I must be some kinda idiot).
5.) I’m going to be better, and do better, and act better. Plus leave time for video games. :)
What are your goals for the new year?
