This week’s story is up on Word Riot and is a piece by two authors I have written about before. “With Cat” seems to be a continuation of “With Human,” or at least takes place in that same headspace that develops a critique on the relationship between childbearing and identity. The piece is divided into small, neat sections, some only a sentence long. The use of white space here serves to move the reader in time but also in mental distance. It works. It’s beautiful.
